If you have Pyorrhea, then definitely read this blog

It is usually seen that people brush very quickly and when you do not clean the teeth properly, bacteria starts to grow in the mouth. Later this same bacteria causes pyorrhea disease. In pyorrhea, you have to suffer from troubles such as bad smell from the mouth, bleeding from the gums and pain in teeth, its weakness and breakdown.

If any part of the body does not function properly, the whole body is affected. Therefore, health should be taken care of. But many times people do not pay proper attention to the cleanliness of their teeth and in such a situation, problems related to teeth start. pyorrhea is one of those problems. If the teeth are not taken care of properly, then the gums become weak and there is a disease like pyorrhea.

Experts say that more than 700 types of bacteria are found in the mouth which help in keeping the teeth healthy, but if the mouth is not cleaned properly then these bacteria also damage the gums.

What is Pyorrhoea?

Pyorrhea is a gum disease caused by bacteria. As the pyorrhea begins to grow, the teeth and surrounding bones are damaged due to its effect. This causes the teeth and bones supporting the teeth to rot and perish.

What are the symptoms of Pyorrhoea

Symptoms of pyorrhea are given below-

  • Bleeding from the gums. This often occurs during tooth brushing.
  • The distance between the two teeth starts increasing.
  • Breaking of teeth (small pieces of teeth).
  • Redness of gums, softening of gums or swelling of gums.
  • Having trouble eating by chewing
  • Bad breath.
  • No taste sensation when eating.

Pyorrhea -Risk factors

The risk of pyorrhea may increase due to some reasons like-

Smoking- Smoking is considered the most important risk factor for gum disease. Use of tobacco causes gum disease. Indeed, smoking and tobacco create a favourable environment for harmful bacteria to flourish in the mouth. The treatment has a delayed effect in non-smokers compared to non-smokers.

Heredity: Many times, even after doing everything properly, gum disease occurs. About a third of the population suffers from gum problems and these oral health problems have been attributed to heredity.

The medicines: Written by a doctor and over the counter (OTC), antidepressants, antihistamines, all drugs contain ingredients that slow the salivary action in the mouth. Saliva helps keep teeth clean, preventing bacterial growth. Therefore, due to the reduced amount of saliva, plaque and tooth begin to accumulate.

Diabetes: There are many health problems, which can also damage the gums. One of the most important of these problems is diabetes. Due to diabetes, the chances of getting many more infections in the body increase. These include infection of the gums. Both gingivitis and pyorrhea impair the ability to use insulin, making it difficult to control sugar.

Nutritional deficiency: If the diet does not contain nutrients like vitamins B and C, calcium, etc., this condition can promote gum diseases. Calcium is very important, as it keeps bones strong, including bones that support the teeth. Vitamin C helps maintain the strength of connective tissues.

Hormone changes: Changes in hormones that occur during pregnancy, menopause, and even during menstruation make gums susceptible to pyorrhea. This increases the chances of pyorrhea.

How to prevent pyorrhoea:

  • Oral hygiene is necessary to make teeth healthy.
  • Be sure to brush after getting up in the morning and before going to sleep at night.
  • Like brushing, make a habit of flossing as it will clean teeth properly.
  • Do not ignore the minor discomfort or pain associated with teeth.
  • Regular checks will try to reduce the hassle.
  • Stop consuming things like cigarettes or tobacco.
  • Try to keep the mouth wet, this will make saliva which will help to protect against infection.
  • Do not treat yourself and take precautions.

Dental care is also very important but a little carelessness can also get you in trouble. So it would be better not to avoid any problem and contact the dentist
